It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and the clock is ticking down as we grow closer to the holiday festivities. By now, many have either started thinking about what they are going to purchase for those on their gift list – others are in full holiday shopping mode. For a more personal touch, I added a personalized apron and gourmet chef’s hat! The bowl of goodies is sitting on a wooden cutting board and the entire present is tied up in a square table cloth.

The corporate gift is a cinch. Select either a basket filled with gourmet treats or a stack of gift boxes filled with diverse snacks. Either is sure to make a big hit.

Holiday gift giving and planning do not have to be a chore. Solicit the help of others. If you come up short on items for your list, call a family member or friend to assist you. Take a minute to give some consideration to your most recent family vacation. Where there periods of time when you wished you kids would pay more attention to what was going on? As time passes, the family vacations journals will remind your kids of past trips. Memories fade with time, even for kids. By keeping a journal, kids will open their eyes to things around them, enhancing your family vacation.

Pop Warner Football Sign Ups

Pop Warner is a nationwide youth football and cheerleading organization. Pop Warner football has been around since the inception of the league in 1929 by founder Joseph J. Tomlin as a four team conference in Northeast Philadelphia. Since then, participation has steadily increased to today’s record numbers. Over 260,000 youngsters participated in Pop Warner sanctioned programs in 2006.

The mission of Pop Warner is to enable children to benefit from participation in team sports and activities in a safe and structured environment. Through this active participation, Pop Warner programs teach fundamental values, skills and knowledge that children will use throughout their lives.

Children must be present at registration and also need to bring to registration their last quarter report card, birth certificate, photo, and proof of a physical. Mondays With The Mayor And Council-Citi of Yuma, Arizona

Each event in this series takes place the first Monday of each month, rotating to a different fire station each time in order to provide a convenient location to each Yuma resident (Arizona). Meetings will commence at 6 p.m.

Representatives from the Yuma Fire Department and Yuma Police Department will provide facts and statistics pertinent to the areas surrounding the host fire station. City Administrator Mark Watson and other members of City staff may also attend. While staff members will be especially prepared to discuss issues in the general vicinity of the host Fire Station, any city resident is welcome to attend and participate.

Yuma residents will have another opportunity to chat with members of the Yuma City Council about important city topics.

Whole grains are the seeds of various grasses and are often referred to as "cereals." They have been the mainstay of the human diet for thousands of years, as our body's main source of fuel and energy. While the grains consumed in different societies vary greatly wheat in the United States, rice in the Orient they provide the backbone for all diets. In fact, a meal without grain often feels incomplete and somehow lacking.

Whole grains are almost complete meals within themselves, containing fiber, protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins such as B and E complexes, and many minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, copper, and manganese. There are three main parts to each kernel of grain: the endosperm, or central core, which is about 80 percent of the entire kernel; the germ, which comprises about 3 percent; and the bran, which encompasses 15 percent of the kernel. Whole grain products contain all three parts of the grain and have a high concentration of nutrients. However, when grain is refined in milling to produce white flour products, the germ and bran are removed, leaving only the endosperm. As a result, most of the essential nutrients of the grain are removed, leaving a devitalized product.

The nutrients of whole grains help promote good overall health. They also have a tremendous effect on relieving the symptoms and reducing the risk of a wide variety of female related health problems. Whole grains have a very potent effect on regulating estrogen levels in the body, through their high levels of phytoestrogens (natural plant estrogens), their fiber content, and their high levels of vitamin B complex and vitamin E.

Many whole grains are excellent sources of phytoestrogens. Whole grains contain lignans, cellulose like materials that provide structure to plants. Lignans have been found to be weakly estrogenic and can bind to the estrogen receptors of cells. As a result, they can provide additional nutritional support to menopausal women deficient in this hormone. In addition, certain plants like buckwheat are excellent sources of the bioflavonoid rutin. Like lignans, many bioflavonoids are estrogenic and can help to regulate the effects of our own body's estrogen on sensitive target tissue like the breast and uterus. Rutin is particularly helpful in its ability to strengthen capillaries and reduce heavy menstrual bleeding in transitioning menopausal women. Studies attest to this. Bioflavonoids have been used, along with vitamin C, to reduce heavy bleeding in transitioning menopausal women and women with bleeding due to fibroid tumors and spontaneous abortions. In fact, an early study done at the University of Tennessee Medical School in 1956 found that the bioflavonoid vitamin C combination allowed 78 percent of high risk women to carry their pregnancies to full term.

Time management skills will give you a sense of purpose and will keep you living productively. Spend time learning new things. Improving as a person will keep depressing thoughts out of your mind as you will constantly be challenged. Learning new things will also give you exciting possibilities for the future.

Manage your life. Your time is extremely valuable so think about how you spend your day. To live more effectively eliminate what isn't positively contributing to the quality of your lifestyle. For example stop ingesting constant information from the media. The news and most entertainment is designed to arouse your emotions with conflict. While this may be stimulating it is not particularly conducive to a stable, happy mental state.

Expressing what you feel is vital for maintaining your mental health. Don't be afraid to express yourself. If what you feel is negative, just make sure you express it in a fashion that isn't unnecessarily hurtful to others. Try expressing the next 10 thoughts you have to someone around you. You will be surprised that such honesty is appreciated and will actually strengthen your relationships.

Laughter will improve your mood and make you remember what it is like to feel joy again. Laughter is self-expression. Apply that to all your feelings. Express your yourself to the people around you. If you had the opportunity to start a home based business for less than $100, and after 2 years your checks would start to approach $2k a month after you’d brought around 2,000 people into your organization; or you could start a business with something just over $1,000 in startup costs, but within a few months of starting you would start receiving checks in the area of $100k with just over 20 people on your team, which home based business would you choose to get started in…?

This was the scenario I found myself looking at during a recent phone call I had with a prospect. At one point in the conversation, this person began telling me with a certain sense of pride how they had been with their company for a couple of years and were now beginning to see their monthly checks reaching the $2,000 level each month. Happy for them, I asked how many people they had in their organization. I was surprised when they told me they had just over 2,000 people in their group. I knew from what they told me that they were action oriented, persistent, and committed, all desirable qualities and traits that I look for in people who work with me.

As our discussion continued, they expressed how they were happy with their business and proud of how they had persevered and grown their organization so large. Soon after this they explained that they had only called out of curiosity to "see what else was out there". However, they simply continued telling me how happy they were where they were at, and with the income they were making, and that they really didn’t have a desire to do anything else.

It was easy to see that they were actually hoping to impress me with their "success" and were hoping to recruit me into their organization using what is called the "reverse marketing" technique. Instead, I simply wished them continued success and suggested that they keep my information handy and to go ahead and call me in the future if they ever found themselves in a situation where they wanted to do something that might be more rewarding, both in terms of products and in the amount of income they could receive from their efforts.

After we hung up, I found myself wondering how they would have felt had they had found out that in a different business they would have made over $100k in a month with just over 20 people in their organization for the same effort they were already putting out, or that an income of $175k a month was possible with less than 30 people in their organization.

For individuals like this, the slightly higher startup costs involved would stop them from even getting started, but it would also keep them from receiving the much more substantial rewards as well. The common thinking that somehow a lot of people all playing small will some how produce a big win simply doesn’t work.
